June 18 - Women of Color RISING Salary Negotiations Workshop
We recently hosted a powerful and transformative salary negotiations workshop for our Women of Color RISING cohort.
The idea of negotiating has always felt intimidating. But this workshop shifted that narrative. Led by Kate Dixon, an expert in equitable compensation, the session broke down practical strategies while creating space for honest conversation. It was more than a workshop; it was a reminder that knowing your worth is powerful—and claiming it is even more so.

Our monthly Member Spotlight highlights a member working diligently to foster equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplaces in our region. This month, we are highlighting Community Warehouse's commitment to inclusive excellence.
"With support from Sara Curiel-Paez at Capacity-Building Partnerships, our staff created and now actively implement an equity lens to support more equitable decision-making. We embed equity in all-staff trainings and retreats. In the past year, our staff went on the Fair Housing Council Bus Tour to learn about housing discrimination in Oregon and went through a training on trauma-informed care with a racial justice lens. Equity is woven through our Strategic Plan and in our values of accessibility, community, and respect: how we provide client-centered, trauma-informed, dignity-driven services for clients, how we ensure participation in our mission is accessible for donors and volunteers, and much more."
