Partners in Diversity's Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a group of community and member organization leaders who help advise and deliver feedback to the Partners in Diversity team about what the community needs. We will be saying goodbye to Tanya Macedo and Rachel Wiederspiel as their terms have ended, and welcoming new member Natália Schmidt!

Thank you, Tanya Macedo, CAC Co-Chair

"Through my service on PID's Community Advisory Committee, I had the opportunity to expand my network tremendously and, even better, made genuine friendships along the way.

Throughout this journey, I built authentic connections across our community while providing feedback to help shape events that truly resonate with and serve our diverse members. I feel like I've supported cultivating a diverse community here in the PNW, and that has been truly fulfilling.

Thank you to everyone who made these two years so impactful. I'm excited to continue supporting PID's work in new ways."

- Tanya

Thank you, Rachel Wiederspiel, CAC member

"When I joined the Community Advisory Committee 3 years ago, the DEI landscape looked very different. The small but mighty team at Partners in Diversity has had to face and overcome a variety of challenges but they continue to meet the moment with tenacity, grace and resourcefulness. Their efforts come from a place of true and deep passion for both DEI and community. They work tirelessly to not only attract professionals from diverse backgrounds to our communities in Oregon and SW Washington but they also work to make sure people feel like they belong and that they’re cared for. It has been an incredible honor to be even a small part of the work they continue to do and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity."

- Rachel

Welcome, Natália Schmidt!

"PiD’s events made a huge impact in my sense of belonging and professional life. I find myself coming back and bringing as many people as possible. Also, I am joining the Community Advisory Committee to contribute to a shared vision of building a more inclusive and equitable region where professionals of color can thrive. The mission of Partners in Diversity deeply aligns with my work and values, particularly in advancing belonging and expanding access to opportunity. I’m excited to collaborate with fellow leaders, offer strategic insight, and help strengthen programs that support community connection, professional growth, and long-term impact across Oregon and Southwest Washington. I want to contribute to a better future for the community that made this place my home."
- Natália

This month we would like to highlight Ursula Arlauskas and the Community Foundation of Southwest Washington. Ursula has been on our Leadership Council for the past six years, serving as Chair from 2024-2025. Ursula has been an integral part of the Partners in Diversity team and her leadership and guidance has helped shape our successful programs and events. She has helped tremendously with bringing community together to connect and support one another, especially in sw Washington. We will miss Ursula dearly and appreciate all her leadership and hard work on our council and in our community. Thank you, Ursula! Read what she had to say about being part of the PiD community below!

I am incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, a longtime member of Partners in Diversity, for supporting my board service and leadership journey. The Foundation's values around equity, belonging, and building strong community connections are deeply aligned with the mission of Partners in Diversity. I would not have had these opportunities without the trust, encouragement, and support of our leadership team, who believed in my ability to lead and consistently made space for me to contribute beyond my day-to-day role.

A special thank you to our members for their continued commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion:
