Thank you Sam Kim, our 2025-2026 Leadership Council Chair!

As we begin a new fiscal year, we extend our deepest gratitude to Sam Kim for his outstanding leadership as chair of our Leadership Council through June 30, 2026.

Sam's thoughtful counsel and unwavering support have been invaluable during a period of rapid change and uncertainty for organizations, workplaces, and our communities. His commitment to our mission has supported Partners in Diversity and our mission-focused work to create more inclusive workplaces across Oregon and southwest Washington. Thank you, Sam, for your leadership and service.

"It has been an honor to serve as LC Chair this past year.  Through my involvement with PID I’ve had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people and building a sense of community.  I am grateful for this organization and the opportunity it gave me to connect, collaborate, and impact those around me." - Sam Kim

Thank you, Evan Green!

Please join us in thanking Evan Green for his outstanding leadership and commitment to our Black Professional Resource Group over the past three years. Evan has been an incredible leader, thought partner, and resource for both the Black PRG and the greater Partners in Diversity community.

Whether serving as the engaging emcee for our Say Hey! or leading meaningful conversations as a panel moderator, Evan has consistently brought people together, elevated diverse voices, and fostered authentic connection. We are deeply grateful for his service, passion, and lasting impact on our community.

We would like to introduce you all to our new Black PRG Co-Chairs!

Welcome, Nick Poindexter!

"I’m honored to serve as co-chair of the Black PRG and excited for what we’ll build together. Encouragement is a key part of who I am, and it’s what I hope to bring as Nya and I connect with each of you to foster a community where we feel encouraged, connected, inspired, and supported as we grow personally and professionally together."

- Nick

Welcome, Nya Mbock!

"I've always believed that vision takes a village. The communities that change us most are the ones where we don't have to earn our belonging—we simply arrive and are invited to contribute our gifts. My hope for the Black PRG is that it is exactly that kind of space: one that celebrates our excellence, makes room for our humanity, invests in our leadership, and reminds us that none of us carries the work alone. I can't wait to learn from this community, build alongside you, and create opportunities that leave each of us more connected than we found one another."

- Nya

Jul Disability Pride Month

Jul 4 Independence Day (Office closure July 3)

This month we would like to highlight Scott Kleiner and Wieden + Kennedy. We are excited to welcome Scott Kleiner as our new Leadership Council chair. Scott has been a dedicated champion of our mission, and we look forward to his leadership as we continue building workplaces where professionals of color can thrive and contribute to our region's economic prosperity. Read more about Scott and W+K!

One moment that has stayed with me: being invited to hear Dan Wieden speak at the Portland Art Museum during Partners in Diversity's 10th Anniversary. I wasn't aware that W+K was one of the earliest members of PiD and that Dan was so involved from early on. Throughout my tenure at W+K, Dan was outspoken about creativity, equity, and community — opening doors for equity programs within the agency and building meaningful ties to Portland at large. That speech left a mark on me.

A special thank you to our members for their continued commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion:
