Breakfast for Champions: Building Trust Through Change - Exploring how leaders can strengthen trust and retain talent during periods of change

Tuesday, September 22, 2026 (8:00 AM - 10:00 AM) (PDT)

Description

As organizations navigate a changing economy, slower hiring, evolving workforce expectations to do more with fewer resources, and shifting roles, building trust and retaining talent have become increasingly important. Research shows that inclusive cultures and a strong sense of belonging can play an important role in engagement, performance, and retention.

In this setting, employees are paying close attention to how leaders communicate, make decisions, and demonstrate their commitment to creating workplaces where people feel valued, respected, and included.

This session will explore how leaders can strengthen trust and workplace culture during periods of change by focusing on transparent communication, belonging, equitable practices, employee voice, and meaningful opportunities for growth and connection.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Communicate transparently and make thoughtful, equitable decisions during uncertainty.
  • Use employee voice, inclusive practices, and belonging to support engagement and retention.
  • Recognize and uplift employee contributions, support professional growth, and create a culture where people continue to feel valued, connected, and motivated to stay despite organizational challenges.

This session is designed for HR professionals, senior leaders, managers, directors, and those responsible for shaping workplace culture and strategy.

This session provides SHRM credits. Please email avaught@partnersindiversity.org for certificate.
